About MWAIS


The Midwest United States Association for Information Systems (MWAIS) Conference occurs annually in May. The 2023 conference will take place in person on May 19 & 20, 2023 in Saint Paul, MN and is hosted by the Metropolitan State University’s College of Management.

The MWAIS mission is “to promote the exchange of ideas, experiences, and knowledge among scholars and professionals in the Midwest US engaged in the development, management, and use of information and communications systems and technology.” Established in 2006, MWAIS is a chapter of the Association for Information Systems (AIS). The states served by this Chapter include Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Historically this chapter conference has attracted authors consisting of CS/MIS/IT faculty, professionals, as well as a number of Ph.D. students. Proceedings of the conferences are included in the AIS digital library.
